My Story

My purpose for owning, managing, operating, and working within my professional studio for photography is for freedom. That is what I seek.
Freedom from what?

Freedom to conduct business in the way others choose not to. Of course, to each their own. From the start, I chose to lead my studio for photography business with a unique goal: design my services around the needs of my target market and be responsive to what they want and need in their professional photography. And you know what…I’ve served some of the most difficult weddings with very particular luxury fine art brides I’ve ever guided and received 5 star glowing reviews. So, I figure my approach is working out, not only for me but for my client’s - who I have designed my services around.

Everything I do is designed for my client in-mind to help provide peace-of-mind during their once-in-a-lifetime wedding day. My goal is to provide peace-of-mind service to alleviate stress, worries, and so they can celebrate during their wedding day with their loved ones. Service and gratitude are my top priorities.

My background

To further my family, professional, and personal life - this is why I own and lead my studio for photography.

I will earn my Bachelor’s in Marketing this summer. Currently, I possess an Associates in Business Admin. I will continue to establish my photo business and further hone my skills in key areas where necessary.

My goal is to be one of the go-to professional studio for photography, wedding, and team headshots in Houston, Texas. In addition to, my focus being in weddings. My second goal is to establish my professional studio for photography business as one of the premier Corporate Branding, Headshot, Team Headshot, and Advertising photography studio in Houston and Texas. I consider myself a branding and headshot photographer who started in weddings first; started in headshots second, and fell in love with professional branding and advertising photography in Houston, TX.

And remember earlier when I mentioned I teach yoga? Practicing and guiding vinyasa flow yoga classes are ideal because yoga helps clear my mind and loosen my body up. As a result, I feel better and I’m able to provide a better photo experience for my clients.

And CrossFit - I will continue to maintain my physical fitness for the benefit of my family. I owe it to them as their provider to help them as I age. It is my responsibility to maintain my health. Everything I do is for my family.

Our values

Uncover The Best Version of Yourself

My mantra for life: uncover the best version of yourself. I am a Yoga Instructor and I also strengthen my body and mind through CrossFit, and this is my intention each time I step onto my mat or before I do Snatches. I practice yoga, so that, when I go into the world, I am ready to serve and not become a burden upon others; I practice CrossFit, so that, I can be strong and healthy to care for my family, so in my older years, I will still be agile and do my best for them.

Why I love teaching Yoga:

I love seeing people uncover their inner greatness and each person coming together as a community. Each of our journey’s in life is unique and we each have wonderful contributions. Yoga helps each of us connect with ourselves on a deeper level through graceful movements, tapping into our inner strength - on and off the mat. Mental concepts employed during asana yoga practice can be applied in our daily lives. Experience dynamic, invigorating classes that leave you feeling rejuvenated, radiant, and strong.

Why I love practicing yoga:

For me, Yoga is about balance, on and off the mat. I enjoy coming to a hot vinyasa class ready to get a work out, see familiar faces, and know I’ll feel relaxed afterward. Staying physically fit allows me to be the best version of myself for my family as we mature together.

Here is a mantra I developed for myself and a mantra I invite you to learn for yourself:

I am whole entire and complete just the way I am. There is nothing that needs to be added to me nor removed. Everything I need is within me - I need to uncover the best version of myself, peel away parts not needed or obscuring parts true to me (uncovered beneath life’s many distractions and teachings I no longer appeal to; instead, I learn what is for me and not for me). Even if some of the edges are rough and not smooth - like society says is ideal to be liked. That is true to me, what makes me real. I am the best photographer, because I am me. No one else takes my place but me.

I must step into my shoes, lace them up, and walk my own path - even if others do not understand my methods. This begins in the present, not future. I already am great - I uncover my qualities which lend to what makes me unique - even if I am not fully understood. I need to step into my role, take full responsibility for myself, lead and guide.

Invest in People

I am the product of investment, either by myself and from others influence upon my life.

It was a great photo mentor who revealed to me the truth: growth does’t result because we age or because of our stature; growth is intentional, and anyone willing to press-on and plan will achieve life changing results towards their life goal. When we invest in ourselves and each other, we lift each other up, resulting in a fulfilled and well-rounded societal system that is stronger. Being better isn’t the result of one above another who is perceivedly below. Instead, being better is determined within ourselves - we take responsibility - have I equipped myself with new abilities and reframing opportunities (obstacles) into perspectives that have enabled and empowered me to open new doors once closed? Focus on gratitude and serving, not belittling. Each of our paths we must trek may appear similar or different, but we will each have to do our personal work to reach our goals. There is room for us all.

Invest in yourself.

Reduce Ambiguity. Serve. Help. Guide

You expect photos of moments, I provide a clear plan, solution, and results exceeding expectations.

I don’t manage people. To manage means to supervise. Instead, I lead and guide – I am an active participant amongst those I serve and support. My goal is to reduce stress and anxiety the client experiences by guiding my client each step of the way through many variables that must align to create your envisioned project. This is where my professional experience, adroit abilities, and strategic problem-solving during fast-paced situations comes in.

When pursuing an outcome that cannot be re-created or repeated a second time. I want the help of an experienced person, expert authority, who is a professional, who has been there before me with real experiential wisdom. I emphasize person because we are people serving people. It is important to me to serve others in a personable way because each of us is unique. Together we can.

“Press On”

The ideology Press On, a phrase coined by Calvin Cooldge, to me, means to have courage to move forward in the face of adversity and uncertainty. If a circumstance is uncomfortable, go through it and find the lesson to be learned. While keeping our goal in mind. Sometimes the methods to attain that goal may need to adjust, eg, a detour around construction in the roadway to your destination. There is a vedic principle named Ishvara Pranidhana, to surrender one’s ego while maintaining one’s focus on the bigger picture. This is a practice I assimilate into my life practice, not by choice, rather, necessity. We must continue to move forward.

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "Press On”! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

— Calvin Coolidge
